How are you Mr.Guess? I saw your post on FB about one lady talking about how “You work hard with the man for 5 years and he dumps you on arrival”.

I just laughed off her ignorance. I am not trying to take a swipe at her but our women can be so selfish!!!

Mr. Guess, i trained a girl from secondary school. In fact from her SS 2 and i sent her to University of Nsukka.

When i went for her hand in marriage. Her parents were so happy and insisted that since she was the only female child, that i must train her in school before we do the final traditional rites.

That was how i did some preliminary rites and took her as my future wife.

Do you know that after her graduation, she now realized that i was not good enough for her and said she will not marry me anymore.

I ran to her parents and i was shocked that her father who was all so nice initially was now telling me that he cannot force his daughter to marry me.

All my family members blamed me and i was traumatized for a long time. That was 2 years ago. I am happily married now with a son.

Mr. Guess, i am happy that she dumped me as if she had not,i would never have met my wife. She has been a blessing to me. So if your writer is crying about “You work hard with the man for 5 years and he dumps you on arrival”, i hope she reads my reply to her. I am a witness, women are worse than men, when it comes to things like this, but guess what. Such disappointments turn out to become blessings. Thank you Mr. Guess.

Thank you so much for writing. I appreciate so much. In fact, your response has saved me any explanation of any sort. I like that you ended your beautiful write up with “Such disappointments turn out to become blessings”. At least with these two accounts (from a woman and from a man), we now know that anyone is capable of “being bad”.

On the flip side, this idea of going to the village to marry one small girl, has it really worked? Does it still trend? I do not know how old this girl was when you went for her hand in marriage, you did not mention it. Because i feel at such tender age, these young girls can make irrational decisions….Hey! I might just be wrong (topic for another day).

I am happy that you are now married and have put all your past in your past.

Thank you for sharing your TRUE STORY with GUESS IYKE. I wish you the best in whatever decision(s) you make plus please look out for comments on this thread. God bless u plenty.
